Russian football player, defender of the team of the third division "Pskov-747" Ivan Ershov was caught in the use of doping.

According to the press service of the Russian Football Union (RFU), in the sample the presence of two banned substances was found at once - trimetazidine (a preparation for tonsillitis) and the infamous meldonium.

39-year-old football player from 2012 to 2017 played for the Tula Arsenal.

In the 2016/17 season, he spent five matches in the Russian Premier League.

Ershov suspended from training with the team and participation in matches.

"Currently, RUSADA is conducting an investigation, the results of which will punish. Footballer admitted his guilt and provides maximum assistance in the ongoing investigation, "- said in a statement.

The further fate of Ershov is fully within the purview of RUSADA, which was renewed in WADA international rights..
