Madrid "Real" will rebuild its home stadium "Santiago Bernabeu". Club President Florentino Perez presented the reconstruction project.

"Our plan was approved in May 2017. This finally gives us freedom of action to reconstruct the stadium. Now we must hold a tender for work and approve a proposal for financing.

We hope that the work will start early next year and, according to estimates, they will last three and a half years, "said Peres, quoted by Marca.

According to him, the cost of work was to be 400 million euros, but the change in the project to meet the new requirements of the Madrid Court led to an increase in the amount of up to 525 million euros.

The boss of the Royal Club also added that the new stadium will bring 150 million euros annually.

The arena "Santiago Bernabeu" was opened in 1947 and was rebuilt twice (1982, 2001), now the stadium seats 81,044 spectators.
