Since the terrible plane crash near Yaroslavl, it's been 7 years already. On September 7, 2011 the Yak-42 aircraft with hockey players of the Lokomotiv club crashed right after take-off. Survival miracle was only an engineer for aviation and radio engineering services Alexander Sizov. In the accident killed 44 people. In the autumn afternoon at the airport "Tunoshna" hockey players boarded the plane and had to go to Minsk for another game. Nothing foreshadowed troubles, but during the takeoff the liner rolled out of the runway, but managed to take off. Unfortunately, the flight did not last long. A few seconds later the aircraft collided with a radio beacon and collapsed to the ground on the bank of the Tunoshonka River. The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC), as a result of the investigation, named the cause of the crash by pressing someone from the pilots to the brake pedals during take-off. For this reason, the liner could not dial the speed required for the flight. The tragedy has become a personal grief not only for close athletes, but for all Russians. Crowds of people carrying flowers to the stadium of the club in Yaroslavl.

Many could not hold back tears. Mourning events were held in Belarus, the Czech Republic, Latvia and Slovakia, where some of the dead hockey players came from. Pain from the loss of athletes did not pass.

A year later in 2012 the Russian team became the world hockey champion. Team coach Zinetula Bilyaletdinov dedicated this victory to "Lokomotiv". He was supported by player Alexander Semin. "To whom will you dedicate this victory?" - Unquestionably, "Lokomotiv". There can even be no doubt, "he said.. Annually this day to the place of the tragedy, as well as to the ice arena of the club, people carry flowers and remember the guys who could become the future for our hockey ....
