Murat Gassiev is forced to miss 5-6 months because of the injury he received in the final fight of the World Boxing Super Series (WBSS) with Alexander Usik.

The Russian in this confrontation suffered shoulder and nose damage. According to trainer of boxer Abel Sanchez, Gassiyev was already given the necessary operation.

"He had several injuries that prevented him. We needed to take care of them, so Murat had operations on the shoulder and nose, due to which he would miss 5-6 months.

Recall that Usik won a victory over Gassiev after the decision of the judges.

Note that both fighters did not know the defeats in the pros before. Usik owned the WBO and WBC titles, Gassiev - IBF and WBA. After this battle, Usik became the absolute world champion in the heavyweight division.

It is interesting that Gassiev can become a reserve option in the second season of WBSS.
