The first round of the US Open can not be included in the active of Ukrainian tennis players.

Of the five participants in the competition, Ukraine lost three at once - Ekaterina Kozlov, Dayan Yastremskaya and Ekaterina Bondarenko.

Kozlov lost the chance to the representative of Spain - Lari Aruabarreni-Vesino. The match ended with a score of 0: 6 and 3: 6 in favor of the Spanish tennis player.

As for Yastremskaya, she unexpectedly lost to Karolina Mukhova (Czech Republic), who made her way to the main round of the US Open through qualification. The game, which lasted 1 hour and 12 minutes, ended with a score of 4: 6 and 2: 6.

The only, except Svitolina, who made their way to the second stage of the tournament was Angelina Kalinina. Having successfully overcome the qualifying round, in the starting match of the main grid Kalinina dealt with Katinka von Dajhman (Liechtenstein) - 1: 6, 7: 6 and 5: 2. After that, von Dajhman withdrew from the match. The next competitor Kalinina will be Sloan Stevens (USA, the third racket of the world). It is Stevens who is the current winner of the US Open.
