At the stage of the quarter finals of the competition, Svitolina lost to 17 world championships - Kiki Bertens (Netherlands).
The bout, which lasted 1 hour and 24 minutes, ended with a score of 4: 6 and 3: 6 in favor of Bertens. Note that this duel took place only seven hours after the matches of the third round of the tournament.
It is interesting that for Svitolina this defeat was the first in her career from the representative of the Netherlands.
