Ukrainian swimmer Mikhail Romanchuk won the first "gold" for Ukraine at the new European Championships.
Romanchuk became the first in the distance of 400 meters freestyle. He beat the Norwegian Henrik Christiansen and the German Henning Muller.
The result of Romanchuk was 3: 45,18.
For the Ukrainian, this medal was the first in his career after two "bronze" awards in 2016.
Note that this was the first set of medals, which was played at the first ever European Championships in summer sports.
