Head coach of the Russian national football team Stanislav Cherchesov was included in the list of candidates for the title of the best coach of the year by FIFA. This is reported in its Twitter-account, the organization's press service on Tuesday, July 24. In addition to the Russian, other contenders for the award were the main coaches of the French national team Didier Deschamps and Croatia Zlatko Dalic, under whose guidance their national teams reached the final of the 2018 World Cup, and the mentors of the Belgian and British teams - Roberto Martinez and Gareth Southgate.
Belgians with the British, we recall, reached the semi-finals, but in the end they played in the match for the third place, where the victory was won by the "Red Devils". Also among the nominees there are club specialists: Massimiliano Allegri (Juventus), Josep Guardiola (Manchester City), Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool), Diego Simeone (Atletico), Ernesto Valverde (Barcelona) and Zinedine Zidane ("Real").
