On the eve of the tournament, in the Sports Center "Liko-arena", which housed the fitness club Sport Life and the Federation of Ukraine in diving, held a press tour. This event caused a huge stir among the media. The event was visited by the TV channels STB, Novy, 24 Channel, ICTV, Channel 5, as well as over 10 print and online publications.
Igor Lysov, President of the Federation of Diving, during the press tour, said: "This is a very outstanding event for Ukraine and our Federation, because the World Cup in diving is for the first time held in our country. In 2011, we built this wonderful Palace of Water Sports, got an Olympic license and today it is the main base for training the national team of Ukraine. Last year, on this aqua-arena, for the first time in Ukraine, we held the European Championships ".
The founder of the group of companies Sport Life Dmitriy Ekimov for his part noted: "Sport Life Teremki is not just a fitness club, it's a palace of sport. For me this is a model, how can you achieve what several years ago seemed absolutely impossible, how can you change the world around us. And our main pride of the club is the Olympic standard pool, in which, in 10 days, the world championship on diving will be held ".
Dmitry Yekimov also spoke about the importance of developing the fitness industry in Ukraine: "To date, 57 Sport Life clubs have been operating all over the country, and until 2020 we will bring this figure to 100. When in 2006 we started to engage in this business in Ukraine, there was nothing but elite fitness, maybe there was no need, nothing was built. We proved that people want to be healthy and happy. We continue to create a positive image of our country in the world.
Recently we held the World Kickboxing Championships, we cooperate with federations on more than 50 sports, annually it supports more than 100 national and world level competitions. In fact, to date, the infrastructure of Sport Life has become the country's infrastructure for all sports ".
Head coach of the national team of Ukraine on diving Tamara Tokmacheva shared plans of the Ukrainian team: "Our junior team will be represented by 12 athletes. Before our team is a big responsibility. And our task is to show the maximum result and of course win the license for the third youth Olympic Games that will be held in Argentina ".
