Ukrainian athlete Mikhail Kokhan became the European champion among young men in hammer throwing with the new best achievement of the world in history.

Kokhan won with the result of 87.82 m. At the silver prize-winner, the Bulgarian Valentine Andreev - 81.41 m. The previous best youthful achievement in hammer throwing belonged to Hungarian Bentze Khalas - 87.16 m.

We add that young men in the age group under 18 throw a 5-kilogram hammer. Also note that in the age group under 18 years old do not record world records, and the best achievements.

Gold Kohan became the second for Ukraine at the European Championship U18. On the eve, July 5, Valeria Ivanenko won the hammer throw among the girls. And soon after the victory of Kohan in the treasury of the Ukrainian team "silver" brought Oleg Doroshchuk. Oleg became the second in high jump - 2,13 m.

After three days of the championship, the Ukrainian team has three awards - two "gold" hammers and "silver" Doroschuk - and the fifth in the medal table.
