In the Football Federation of Ukraine, they apologized for distorting the words of the UEFA President Alexander Cheferin regarding gratitude to FFU President Andrei Pavelko. In the Federation noted that the bad translation of the words of the Head of UEFA is completely random and it happened because of not very good English from the press service of the FFU.
At the same time, in the Ukrainian Federation they again began to prove that Cheferin was really really "very" grateful to Pavel for his "important role" in preparing the final match of the UEFA Champions League in Kiev.
Previously, a number of Ukrainian media outlets pointed to the inaccuracy of translation of Cheferen's words against Pavelko.
Journalists noted that Cheferin in his real address to Pavelko did not talk about "an excellent work done and an incredible finale". In fact, the president of UEFA on the contrary noted that it may not be objective in assessing the work of Pavelko, because he considers him his friend. Moreover, Cheferin, referring to Pavelko, said that his team did a "good job", and not "a huge job" (as claimed in FFU) in the context of the development of football in general.
However, it is worth noting that the FFU officially recognized their lies only once, although similar cases in relation to the true position of UEFA were at least three more.
Earlier, Pavelko said that in UEFA he was asked about the possible transfer of the Champions League final from Kiev, if it is not safe to play in Ukraine, after the Dynamo refused to play in Mariupol with the local club of the same name because of alleged fears about the proximity of the city to the zone fighting.
However, later in the UEFA this information was officially denied. But for this lie in FFU so far no one has apologized.
Another incident occurred when Andrei Pavelko called a photo of his daughter Lisa's receptionist with the UEFA Champions League UEFA Cup "fake". After this, followed by a statement by UEFA on the inadmissibility of such treatment with the main football trophy. This time again, FFU was silent, and for their lies about the "fake", too, did not apologize.
In addition, UEFA also had to refute the words of FFU officials that fans of Real Madrid allegedly do not hand over their tickets to the final match of the Champions League in Kiev. Cheferin was then forced to officially confirm this information, published before in a number of foreign media. And again, for their lies about this, FFU did not apologize.
Therefore, the Ukrainian media for the time being continue to expect sincere apologies from the FFU regarding the above mentioned examples of lies.
