Israel's Beitar club from the city of Jerusalem decided to change the name of its team somewhat with the help of US President Donald Trump.
Thus, the management of the team decided to thank Trump for recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, which they had waited for 70 years.
"For 70 years, Jerusalem was waiting for international recognition, while President Donald Trump did not recognize the city as the capital of Israel. The American president showed courage and true love for the Israeli people and their capital.
Beitar, one of the most famous symbols of the city, thank the US president for his support. Henceforth the club will be called Beitar Trump Jerusalem, "- said in a statement of the club on the official Facebook page.
Note that "Beitar" is six-time champion of Israel. The current draw of the domestic championship the club finished on the second line.
