Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko was defeated in the first round of the prestigious tennis tournament WTA Premier 5 in Rome.

In the first round, Lesya defeated Petre Martic from Croatia - 6: 1, 6: 2.

With a score of 0: 3 in the second set, Tsurenko, because of problems, turned to the physiotherapist for help and continued the game with a bandage on her left knee. However, Martic confidently completed the match in her favor.

In the main grid in the tournament in Rome, except Tsurenko, is also the best tennis player in Ukraine Elina Svitolina. She got the fourth seed number at the tournament and missed the first round match. It is Martic that will become Elina's rival in the second round.
