The newly-made WBA lightweight champion Vasily Lomachenko repeated the unique achievement of the Klitschko brothers after the victory over Venezuelan Jorge Linares.

Having earned the third title in his career, Lomachenko added to his collection another very powerful belt.

Vasily became the owner of the title of The Ring by the version of the eponymous magazine.

Note that he is already the 35th winner in history, who won this trophy in lightweight.

Among Ukrainians, Lomachenko is already the third boxer who held the belt according to The Ring. Thus, Vasily repeated the unique achievement of Vitali and Vladimir Klichko, who became winners of this award.

Recall that Vitali Klitschko won this belt in April 2004. As for Wladimir Klitschko, he was the winner of this award in 2009. Recently it became known when Lomachenko will hold his next fight.
