CAS disqualified the Russian Olympic champion for four years

The Sports Arbitration Court (CAS) has decided to disqualify the Russian athlete Elena Slesarenko.

Slesarenko, who is an Olympic champion and a two-time world champion in high jump, was punished for using prohibited substances.

It is reported that the disqualification, which began to operate from October 4, 2016, will last four years. All its results from August 23, 2008 to August 22, 2012 were canceled.

In the doping test, a prohibited drug, turinabol. It is interesting that Slesarenko completed her career in 2014. Previously, the disqualification in four years received a Russian heavyweight.
