World WBO featherweight champion Vasily Lomachenko is recognized the best boxer of the year.

Ukrainian received the WBAA award. Lomachenko's team was the best in three nominations. Father Basil - Anatoly Lomachenko became the best coach, and Egis Klimas - the best manager. Here's how Lomachenko commented on the receipt of this award.

I won the award for the best boxer of the year, my father became the best coach of the year, and Egis Klimas became the manager of the year. I am grateful to my whole team and all my fans. Thank you. Tomorrow I will have a chance to confirm that you are right, "- wrote Lomachenko on his page in Instagram.

Note that this trophy was previously given to Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao and Terence Crawford.

Recall, on May 12 in New York Lomachenko will enter the ring against the Venezuelan Jorge Linares. At stake will be the WBA belt, which is owned by Linares.
