The titled Ukrainian athlete Ruslan Dmitrenko, is suspected of using illegal drugs.
As coach Denis Tobias said on his Facebook page, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accused Dmitrenko of using dope.
Because of this case, Dmitrenko decided to abandon the trip to the World Championships in China, which will be held from May 5 to May 6, 2018.
It is reported that very soon Dmitrenko intends to make a request to the agency for a package of documents to understand what these suspicions are related to.
According to Dmitrenko and Tobias, this process can drag on for several months. Ruslan Dmitrenko is the only winner of the World Cup in walking from Ukraine.
In 2014, he took the gold at a distance of 20 kilometers. In 2016, Dmitrenko took 16th place at the Olympic Games in Rio.
