For the first time in history, a European Cup and a UEFA Women's Champions League Cup arrived in Kharkov. The first to touch the legendary trophies and to be photographed with them were the pupils of children's and youth sports schools of the region, the press service of the Kharkov Regional State Administration.

The presentation ceremony of the cups was held at the Metalist stadium with the participation of the head of the Kharkov regional state administration Yulia Svetlichna, the president of the FFU Andrei Pavelko, as well as the leaders of the men's soccer team Metalist 1925 and the women's FC Zhilstroy-1.

"We have good sports traditions, talented young people, we have a great football history, and every time we prove that the best way to honor traditions is to continue the story and do everything for the development of football," said Yulia Svetlichnaya, opening the ceremony. "We have returned football to Kharkov, we are working to make the Kharkov football team regain its power".

Andrei Pavelko told all guests of the ceremony the pleasant news - about the decision to hold in Kharkov the match of the national teams of Ukraine and the Czech Republic.

"This is one of the main events of this year for the team, because this is the only opportunity for the fans to support our team at the match with the audience. Unfortunately, all other matches will be without spectators, - said the president of FFU. - That's why you, Kharkiv citizens, are our team's main hope for support ".

He noted that the coaching staff of the national team is very well related to Kharkov and prefers to base and conduct collections here. Andrei Pavelko wished success to young players, and the Kharkov team "Metalist 1925" - return to the Premier League and European cups.

The general director of FC Metalist 1925 Vladimir Linke, in turn, wished his team "that the European Cup stand here, and those children who came here today, aspired to our team and did everything for the Kharkov football to develop and grew up ».

In the course of the ceremony, the guests of honor presented the best football teams of the Youth Sports School with gifts-sets of balls and certificates for getting tickets for the match of the national teams of Ukraine and the Czech Republic. The awards were given to football departments of 14 children's and youth sports schools of Kharkov and districts of the region. After that, all participants of the ceremony could be photographed with the main UEFA football trophies.
