Russian boxer Alexander Povetkin sued the undefeated world champion in the WBC version of Deontei Wilder a tidy sum.

According to the information of Povetkin's promoter Andrei Ryabinsky, their team became richer by 4.3 million dollars. All because of the disruption of the fight, which was to take place in May 2016.

We note that in May, Wilder withdrew his candidacy from the battle against Povetkin because of a positive doping test. Later, Povetkin was acquitted. It is interesting that both sides filed a lawsuit against each other - Wilder claimed a fee for the fight, and Povetkin - compensation for the failure of the fight. As a result, the court gave victory to a Russian, who already now requires money.

The Wilder team has a month to appeal the verdict. Here's how the decision of the court commented on the promoter Povetkin Andrey Ryabinsky.

"Do I want to continue to sue Wilder's side?". We will discuss this issue with lawyers.

Perhaps, we will sue for compensation to us for moral damage. Because they there, of course, talked about serious things.

At one time I said that the guys will regret and they will have to pay for the fact that they unfairly accused us. As I said, so now it happens - no one can just offend and insult my people. So there will not be. We will calmly put everyone in their place. Even if it takes several years, "- said Ryabinsky.

Recall that his next fight Povetkin can hold with Anthony Joshua.
