The Ministry of Youth and Sports amended the order of March 14 on the prohibition of the participation of national teams of Ukraine in sporting events in the territory of the Russian Federation.

This is evidenced by the relevant order on the official website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Ukrainian athletes will be able to take part in tournaments in Russia, but for their own funds.

"To prohibit financing from the State Budget of Ukraine the conduct of training camps in the territory of the Russian Federation, the participation of members of the national teams of Ukraine in all sports competitions held in the territory of the Russian Federation," the order says..

These changes were also commented on by the Minister of Sports of Ukraine Igor Zhdanov on his social network page.

"I emphasize that this does not change the essence of the decision. No funds of Ukrainian taxpayers will be spent on such trips. No payments of state bonuses for participation in such competitions will be accrued.

The Ministry, like the minister, is unchanged in its position - we are categorically against the participation of national teams in competitions in Russia. All moral responsibility for unauthorized participation in these competitions, safety and all other consequences are borne by the respective federations and personally by those athletes who will risk going to the country of the aggressor. They are warned about this, "Zhdanov wrote. It should be noted that the Wrestling Association has already reacted to the relevant order and sent the Ukrainian team to the European Championships to fight against Russian Kaspiysk.
