In the International Union of Biathlonists (IBU) broke out a loud doping scandal, in the epicenter of which was the president of the organization Anders Besseberg.
So, Besseberg left his post for the duration of the doping investigation. This is the official website of the organization.
On the eve of the police conducted searches at the headquarters of the IBU in Austria and Norway. And WADA launched an investigation, the main defendants of which are Besseberg and IBU Secretary-General Nicole Resch.
Previously, the media reported that Besseberg since 2011 concealed 65 cases of doping by Russian biathletes.
