The European Championship in sports wrestling among the cadets will not take place in Ukraine. It was planned in Kiev on April 21 - 29, 2018.

According to the Sports Wrestling Association, "in connection with the inability to provide full state guarantees to ensure equal opportunities for the participation of athletes of all countries without exception, members of the International Olympic Committee - the tournament was postponed". It is clear that we are talking about athletes from Russia.

The decision was made by the International Wrestling Federation "United World of Struggle" (UWW) in agreement with the International Olympic Committee.

The tournament was moved to Macedonia in Skopje, approximately on May 14 - 20, 2018.

Recall that in the summer of 2017 the European Championships in boxing in Kharkiv did not allow part of the Russian delegation. Namely journalists and boxers who violated the order of entry into the occupied Crimea. After that, Russia was called upon by international federations not to hold competitions in Ukraine.
