The International Olympic Committee (IOC) called the applicants for the Winter Olympic Games, which will be held in 2026.

In total, nine cities can take OI-2026: Graz (Austria), Cortina D'Ampezzo, Milan, Turin (Italy), Calgary (Canada), Erzurum (Turkey), Sion (Switzerland), Stockholm (Sweden) and Sapporo (Japan).

According to the official website of the international organization, the winner will be known in September 2019.

Note that Calgary, Turin, Sapporo and Cortina D'Ampezzo have already hosted the Winter Olympics. Recall. that the nearest Olympiads will be held in Tokyo (2020). The nearest winter Olympics will be Beijing (in 2022).

The last winter Olympics took place in the South Korean city of Pyeongchang.
