Changes in the WADA code, which will take effect on April 1, will lead to the fact that starting in 2020, the World and European championships will not be held in Russia. Closed the road to Russia for world sports and the "Road Map" WADA signed by Vitaly Mutko in 2015 to restore the rights of the Russian anti-doping agency Rusada, according to the Daily Storm. Thus, in 2024 the World Championship in volleyball will not take place in Russia in 2022, and in 2024 there will be no world hockey competition and the continental championship in handball. Since April 1, all Russian applications for international sports tournaments in the country simply will not be considered by international sports organizations. In order for the situation to change, it is necessary to restore the rights of RUSAD, but here everything is not so simple. WADA requires Russia to recognize the existence of a system of state doping, as well as to stop the criminal prosecution of Grigory Rodchenkov, who initiated an anti-doping scandal. As for the first demand, the Minister of Sports Pavel Kolobkov has already stated that it is impossible to recognize the results of McLaren's investigation, since his report contains too many inconsistencies. Investigative Committee of Russia is also not going to stop the criminal prosecution of Rodchenkov. Against the WADA informant, cases have been filed under the articles "Abuse of authority" and "Obstruction of the administration of justice and the production of preliminary investigation".
Anti-doping scandal has already led to the fact that at the Olympics in Pyeongchang athletes of the Russian national team acted as "neutral athletes". Fortunately, Russian fans will be able to go to those competitions that have been officially approved by the world's sports organizations: in 2020 in St. Petersburg there will be matches of the European Football Championship, in 2022 the world swimming championship will be held in Kazan, in 2019 the best boxers will compete in Sochi -lovers.
