A well-known fact is that the older a person, the worse and slower the regeneration of skeletal muscles. This means that, together with certain age-related diseases, older people recover longer from their injuries and operations.

Scientists have determined that the protein "B1" performs an important role, both for the general condition of the muscles, and for their recovery. Based on this information, it is planned to begin work on counteracting the aging process of muscles.

Muscle stem cells are responsible for muscle regeneration and recovery. Usually the cells are in a state of rest, but in the case of their activation immediately "turn on" the work and begin to restore the muscle fibers. After they return to rest.

This allows the muscles to maintain their ability to regenerate.

Studies have shown that it is the open protein "B1" that supports the sleeping mode of cells and their work. Experiments on mice on artificial activation of protein b1 showed restoration of regenerative abilities of the organism. It is also likely that the artificial inclusion of protein will help fight against muscular dystrophy and other similar diseases in humans.
