The summer season is approaching and many are already taking care of the problem of extra kilograms. Having come to the gym, most of the slimming ones are wondering what type of training to choose. What types of exercises will help you lose weight, experts said.

Fitness instructor Elena Avtushko told the portal 7mednews what is the difference between cardio and strength training.

"In short, when cardio training burns more calories than with strength training. But at the same time, power loads still bring more effect in the fight against excess weight, "- says Elena Avtushko.

The expert explains this by saying that burning calories continues 36 hours after training. In addition, strength exercises allow you to keep the muscles in a tone, which also contributes to the improvement of the figure.

"Cardio exercises allow on average to burn 40-80 calories. With prolonged loads, it takes 500-800 calories. It turns out that a half kilogram of excess weight is burned with a loss of 1750 calories.

"We must understand that this is a very grueling training, an inexperienced person is unlikely to withstand it," says the fitness trainer.

Elena Avtushko also advises all losing weight to use mixed training - cardio alternating with power exercises. Then the fat burning effect will not be long in coming. The expert believes that it is better to do these types of exercises, to make it easier to get rid of excess weight.
