Those who want to wake up quickly, scientists suggest to forget about coffee and the elevator.

Fast walking on the stairs tones up better than any caffeine, say scientists from the University of Georgia.

To this conclusion they came after they conducted an experiment with students who sleep an average of no more than 6.5 hours a day and complain of chronic lack of sleep. One participant in the experiment was given pills with caffeine and a placebo, and also sipped soda, and others - asked 10 minutes at a low speed to climb the stairs, passing a total of up to 30 floors.

"We found that with both caffeine intake and taking placebo, there is no significant change in the body," said Professor Patrick O'Connor of the University of Georgia in the Daily Mail. - As for physical exercises, such as climbing stairs, they significantly increase the energy reserve and give much more strength. The sensation of the flow of energy was much stronger than taking 50 milligrams of caffeine ".

It is known that the bank "Dietetic Cola" contains 41 mg of caffeine, and a cup of latte - 77 mg.

In order to test the effect after taking medication or walking the stairs, volunteers were asked to undergo a series of tests both verbal and computer. It turned out that both those who took caffeine in the form of tablets, and those who walked the stairs, no special changes in either the memory state or concentration of attention occurred. However, walking on the stairs increased motivation to work and gave energy, which can also be considered a considerable advantage.
