The Ukrainian Paralympic team won five awards on the first day of the competition at the Paralympic Games-2018, which takes place in Pyeongchang.

It should be noted that the Ukrainian team was represented only in biathlon. Skiing took place without the participation of our athletes.

Vitaliy Lukyanenko scored "Gold" at a distance of 7.5 kilometers with a visual impairment, which, thanks to this award, has already become a five-time champion of games. "Bronze" in the same race was won by Anatoly Kovalevsky. "Silver" went to Belarusian athlete Yuri Golub.

In addition, in the top 10 were four more Ukrainians - Yaroslav Reshetinsky, Yuri Utkin, Dmitry Suyarko and Alexander Kazik.
