The Czech national team refused to participate in the final stage of the biathlon World Cup this season, which will be held in Tyumen.
Thus, the Czech team officially joined the boycott of competitions in Russia.
Let's note, because of the pass of the tournament, the Czech team can lose its positions in the Nations Cup standings, which will lead to a reduction in the quota of Czech athletes for the World Cup in the next season.
Earlier, the US team announced the boycott of this stage. Women's national team of Ukraine in biathlon announced that it plans to perform at this stage of the World Cup.
Recall, it was first reported that this stage was moved to Oslo, but the president of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) Anders Besseberg subsequently said that there were no changes.
The World Cup in Tyumen is scheduled for March 22-25, 2018.
