American Deontey Wilder defended his WBC heavyweight title in a fight against Cuban Luis Ortiz.
The beginning of the match was relatively calm. The most interesting began at the equator. In the fifth round, Wilder managed to knock down an opponent. After that, he continued to dominate, but Ortiz managed to even seize the initiative.
The denouement took place in the 10th round. Wilder first sent the Cuban into the second knockdown and then the referee was forced to stop the fight.
Now Wilder can think about a duel with Briton Anthony Joshua, the owner of the WBA Super and IBF belts. But first Joshua in the unification duel should defeat WBO champion New Zealander Joseph Parker. This battle will be held on March 31.
