The Paralympic team of Ukraine will receive for the first time the same prize money as the Olympic team.

In the South Korean city of Pyeongchang each prize-winner of the Paralympic Games-2018 will receive the following prize money:.

125 thousand dollars in hryvnia at the rate of the NBU for gold;.

80 thousand dollars for silver;.

55 thousand for bronze.

This was stated by the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Igor Zhdanov.

"I will not allow discord between you and the Olympians, or the Neolympians. You are all a single sports family, which should work as one team.

After all, our entire sports community is doing one big thing - it is winning victories for Ukraine, glorifying our country in the world. So we show our friends, and first of all enemies, that we are strong, unconquered and independent.

For the first time at the Paralympic Winter Games in Phenchkhan 2018, our Paralympic athletes will receive the same rewards as the Olympians, "Zhdanov wrote on his facebook page.

Recall that the Paralympic Games-2018 will be held from March 8 to March 18.
