The president of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine, Vladimir Brynzak, commented on the situation in the women's biathlon team and described the problems that are in the team.

He also stressed the need to form a new team.

"The situation in the women's team, frankly, bad. All the girls we have - stars, athletes with names, and when one gets something, on the other side there are moments of envy. Plus, it is very important that they spend all this time together abroad - for four months in a row, without calling Ukraine. The same people, for many years, especially in the women's composition.

Therefore, the relationship between them is not the best, and it affected the most crucial moment. I think we will have to think very seriously in the spring, what to do next, because now I do not see mutual understanding, team spirit, which was always inherent in our team.

I have already told Elena Pidgrushna, and I think I will tell Valery Semerenko that it makes sense for them to switch to individual training rather than train as part of the national team. We, of course, will help them organize individual training, but with an eye to the next Olympics we need to form a new team, "said Brynzak.

Recall that at the Olympic Games the women's relay race was won by the Belarusian national team, and Ukraine, despite the medal hopes, failed the race, finishing the 11th.

Note that during the Games Valentina Semerenko said that they do not have a team.
