The victory of Russian hockey players at the Olympics did not leave indifferent in the world. Americans were disappointed in their athletes and, predictably, found the main source of all problems in Russia. Newspaper New York Post continues to belittle the gold medal, mined by our hockey players. Earlier, journalists devoted an article to Russians under the heading: "A team without a country won hockey gold" (A team without a country wins hockey gold). This caused a storm of indignation on the web. This, however, did not scare away the publication and they again went through our athletes. Hockey players after the victory over Germany performed the anthem of the country, despite the ban on the part of the IOC. The organization has already confirmed that there will be no punishment for this, since the athletes are overexcited because of the long-awaited medal.

American journalists believe that the IOC is not an edict, so they insist on punishment for Russians. They demand to impose sanctions, because they did not like this behavior. In the last match of the group stage, the Russian team defeated hockey players from the United States with a score of 4: 0 and reached the playoffs from the first place in Group B. Then were defeated Norway (6: 1), Czech Republic (3: 0) and, finally, in the finals - Germany (4: 3 in overtime).
