Great hopes were on our team of biathletes, who 4 years ago became the Olympic champions of Sochi in the relay race, however in Phenchkhan the girls showed the 11th result.
As a result, with one medal Ukraine took 22nd place in the medal standings of the Games-2018.
In general, this is the third "gold" of the Winter Olympics in the history of our independence.
In 1994 in Lillehammer the highest award was taken by the figure skater Oksana Baiul, and in Sochi-2014, as already mentioned, the biathletes Valya Semerenko, Vita Semerenko, Julia Jima and Elena Pidgrushnaya won the gold in the relay race.
In total, Ukraine took part in 7 "white" Olympics, which won 8 medals (3 gold, 1 silver, 4 bronze).
Absolutely no awards "blue-yellow" were in Salt Lake City (2002) and Vancouver (2010).
