The decision was announced a few hours before the official opening of the Games. As the press service of the court reports, the special commission of the SAS rejected appeals.
They were filed by 32 Russian athletes on February 6. Then on February 7 another 15 athletes and a coach against the IOC filed an appeal. The Commission recognized that the decision of the IOC was not discriminatory, but, on the contrary, fair.
In turn, the International Olympic Committee on its page on Twitter noted that it welcomes such an arbitration decision, calling it support in the fight against doping.
Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the IOC dismissed the Russian team from the Winter Games-2018 in South Korea.
Go to the Olympics will only be not seen in the use of doping athletes, but only under the neutral flag and without the arms of their country on the sports form.
February 5 it became known that the IOC decided not to invite to the Olympics 13 Russian athletes and two coaches, previously justified by sports arbitration.
