The Sports Arbitration Court in Lausanne (CAS) will announce a decision on the affairs of 47 Russian athletes regarding the non-admission to the 2018 Olympics on February 9 in the morning.

That's when the opening ceremony of the Games will take place in Pyeongchang.

"The decision on appeals of 47 Russians will be announced in the main press center of the Olympics in Pyeongchang on Friday morning from 9:00 to 12:00 local time," said CAS Secretary General Mathieu Riba.

It should be noted that 32 Russian athletes, as well as 13 other athletes and 2 trainers who managed to justify themselves in Lausanne, submitted appeals to the CAS to the decision of the commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), but they were never invited to Pyeongchang to participate in the 2018 Olympics.

Recall, December 5, 2017 IOC disqualified the Russian national team from the 2018 Olympics because of the doping scandal with Sochi-2014.

In 2016, a doping scandal broke out after the reports of Richard McLaren, who led the WADA investigation.

They said that Russian athletes were involved in manipulating doping tests at the Sochi Olympics. To replacing the doping tests with "clean" were involved senior officials of Russia.

To participate in the Games of Pyeongchang can "clean" Russian athletes under the neutral Olympic flag.
