Russian sportsmen and fans watch the news from Pyeongchang with a sinking heart. At the Olympics 169 athletes have already gone, however, this is the smallest number of representatives of our country in the history. Another 47 Russians expect CAS solutions. If their appeals satisfy, then the national team will be replenished by its leaders and, then the chances for a large number of gold awards will significantly increase. Despite this, in the relationship between the IOC and the Sports Arbitration Court a great deal of misunderstanding and disappointment arose. Although before that all the time organizations were inseparable. IOC and WADA - a single organism The Olympic Games have a long history, but the International Olympic Organization (IOC) was born on June 23, 1894. Its creator was the French public figure Pierre de Coubertin. Initially, the organization was conceived to guide the Olympic movement and the development of the Games in accordance with the charter, which includes various rules and principles. Their essence boils down to the fact that sports and such major competitions should contribute to the harmonious development of man and the world. Politics can not interfere in sport, and for the duration of such events all wars must cease. Olympics and IOC - symbols of friendship, peace and prosperity. So it was until recently, until the organization manifested itself on the other side. The war against Russia began with the moment when Rodchenkov went overseas, that is, in 2015. Numerous denunciations, checks and unfounded accusations in the state doping system arose from scratch.

While the IOC and its president, Thomas Bach, were on the sidelines, the role of the first violin was played by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). The organization, which spoiled the career of our athletes, was formed in 1999 in Switzerland. Two years later, the headquarters moved to Canada's Montreal. WADA, as many people mistakenly suggest, is sponsored not by the IOC, but by various countries of the world.

The largest share of the budget is generated by cash flows from Europe (47.5%) and America (29%). The slogan of the "Play True" agency ("Play Honestly") looks at the moment very ironically. All this anti-Russian company began simultaneously with serious disagreements in the relations between Russia and the United States. It seems that the financing of the agency jumped at times due to the money of America, but of course there is no official data. For yourself, the facts. The hacker group Fancy Bears has repeatedly poured into the network documents on serious violations of doping rules in several countries. The evidence was on the face, but the agency and the whole world community tried to convince that it was all a bluff and the game of the Russians. The war against Russia continued and gained momentum. At some point, the IOC joined. Before the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro before the Games did not allow the entire athletic national team of Russia. Athletes filed claims in CAS, but they recognized the organization's actions as legitimate. After Brazil, it became clear that the upcoming Games in South Korea will not be an easy walk for Russians. All the most negative forecasts and expectations have come true. The commission did not allow our athletes to compete at all. They can only act under a neutral flag. From under the skirt of the IOC agreed and in WADA. Like, the Russians are bad, they eat dope kilograms and so on. At the same time, there is no evidence or evidence. Athletes successfully removed, and they applied to the CAS. Few expected positive news from Switzerland, but the court really surprised. He did not go on the occasion of the organizations and issued a completely opposite verdict: "28 athletes are clean and innocent". It sounded like a bolt from the blue. What was the cause of such a disagreement between previously friends organizations? The war with CAS The history of the Sports Arbitration Court begins in 1984. From the IOC's submission, the composition of the participants and the charter of the body. The first case in question concerned not the athlete, but his horse. German horseback Gundel challenged the disqualification, due to the fact that his horse was found in the blood traces of prohibited drugs. CAS upheld the verdict of the international organization. However, at that moment the court understood that it was necessary to detach from the IOC in order to be independent and impartial. In 1994, the necessary documents were issued. In 2003, WADA developed a code according to which sports arbitration was authorized to deal with complaints about decisions on international doping disputes. Since then, the life of the "trio" was inseparable and friendly. WADA supplied data, the IOC "rejected" the athletes, and CAS confirmed these actions. So it was in 2016, when the Rio did not let Russian athletes. No pleas, requests and threats have not melted the hearts of the judges. Since then, hard times have come for Russian sports. In this doping abyss, there was no hope for a ray of light. Athletes are quite expected to be removed from the Games, and those suffered suits in Switzerland. And suddenly CAS decided that the athletes were accused unlawfully and they were completely "clean". Of course, this act did not please Thomas Bach, who immediately started talking about the necessary reforms, RIA Novosti reports.. "This means that the CAS should change its structure so that it can provide higher quality and consistency in the exercise of its jurisdiction. We will continue to maintain contact with CAS, "he said at a press conference. The head of the IOC felt that it smelled of fried. It seems that everything was done to complicate the life of the Russians, but here the organization, with which they lived together for many years, went against their "parent". Bach, of course, ignored the decision and confirmed that the verdict does not mean anything and the detached athletes still will not come to Pyeongchang. WADA also hinted that they were unhappy, but they did not become involved in the game, preferring to strike Russia quietly and unexpectedly. What's next? Such tension in world sports will not pass without a trace. The war between the IOC and CAS will continue. Certainly there will be a clearing of the ranks and new people who are acceptable to Bahu will be placed in vacant places. They like weak-willed dolls will fulfill any whims of their master. For the Olympics, as Pierre de Coubertin bequeathed, all the quarrels will subside. Nobody will find out the relationship between themselves, but after the competitions they will converge on the ring and who will win in this fight is not yet clear. Russia should not get involved in these disassembly, but it is worthwhile to prove to the whole world its innocence by sporting results. This idea was very accurately conveyed by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, CTB television reported.. "Russia can solve this problem beautifully, having proved to the whole world that it is a great sports power and that it has been treated unfairly by it if the Russian sportsmen go there and will fill the muzzle of all the sportsmen who will be there (well, I am speaking figuratively)," - said the politician.

Yet you should not scold your athletes for wanting to speak and defend the country's honor in the international arena, even under a neutral flag. "I ask you not to condemn the guys who decide to come out under the neutral flag. We know that they are Russians, and we need to support them, "added biathlonist Sergei Chepikov. The Olympic Games will begin on February 9 and fans have a lot of sleepless nights ahead of them, only on February 25 it will be possible to breathe out quietly and with pride look at the final table, where our team will certainly be in the lead.
