President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach called the budget of the 2018 Olympic Games in South Korean Pyeongchang.
So, it will be 2.4 billion dollars. On this, as well as other organizational issues, Bach told a press conference on the eve of the Games.
"According to the report of the organizing committee, all objects of the Games-2018 are ready. They are terrific and provide the best conditions for athletes. The Olympic record for the winter is set - 92 countries. 78 percent of tickets sold. And, of course, great work for volunteers. You see how Korea smiles. For comparison, the budget of the 2014 Olympics in Sochi amounted to 6.5 billion dollars.
