On the first day of the competition the Ukrainian Paralympic athletes have already won eight awards. As reported by the National Sports Committee of Disabled People of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Paralympic athletes, consisting of 20 athletes - three "gold", two "silver" and three bronze medals.

It is noteworthy that the entire Ukrainian podium was won by girls with visual impairment.

So, gold awards have won - Рептюх Igor, Shishkova Oksana and Lukyanenko Vitaly. The owners of silver medals were Rad Taras and Prilutskaya Olga. Bronze awards were received - Batenkov-Bauman Julia, Kovalevsky Anatoly and Rubanovskaya Natalia.

In total, about 100 sportsmen from 12 countries of the world take part in this World Cup.

The World Cup competition will last until February 10.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, on Thursday, February 1, with the participation of the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach in Korean Pyeongchang solemnly opened the Olympic Village. The village opened eight days before the opening of the Winter Olympic Games. It will host the participants of the Games-2018. In the same buildings will accommodate disabled athletes who will participate in the Paralympics.
