During the ceremony, the flags of all countries participating in the games were raised above the village, including North Korea.

It is reported that the Olympic Village in Pyeongchang consists of two clusters: the mountain and the coast. The organizers specified that in the mountains it is planned to place representatives of "mountain" sports - skiers, biathlonists, snowboarders and freestylers, sleigh bobsleighers and skeletonists. The total number of guests and participants who will be accommodated in the mountain cluster is 3500 people.

On the coast, in addition to skaters, hockey players, skaters, curlers and short trackers will also accommodate athletes who arrived in Pyeongchang to participate in the Paralympic Games. A total of 2,700 places have been prepared on the coast.

It is reported that already now the Norwegian team has occupied the mountain cluster, while the teams of Hungary, the Czech Republic and New Zealand are located on the coast. Arrival of other athletes is expected in the coming days.
