While WADA are interested in new containers for collecting doping samples in which a serious flaw was discovered, our athletes who did not get to the Olympics in South Korea will not lose their form. They will be able to show themselves at a competition that they organize for them in Russia. A source from the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation asserts that the tournament, for which more than 500 athletes will arrive, will be held in Sochi. Competitions will be visited not only by Russian athletes, but also by foreign athletes not participating in the Games in South Korea for various reasons. In the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) this information was not confirmed, but the Minister of Sports Pavel Kolobkov assured that the work on organizing such a tournament is in full swing, the Izvestia newspaper reports.. "They do not have a ban on participating in other competitions. Now we are working on technical details. Our athletes should not remain without practice. Especially in those sports where we have a lot of things that are not allowed, "he added.. The Olympic Games in Pyeongchang will be held from 9 to 25 February. Berlinger containers worried by WADA were used in September 2017. , but only on January 19 in Cologne noticed that a frozen sample can easily be opened manually. Such a finding puts in doubt all the tests taken during this period, as many test tubes could be poured or, on the contrary, removed prohibited preparations, while completely imperceptibly. During the doping control the athlete gives an analysis. After this, the samples are divided into two containers, which are closed by the sender himself. Special employees check the integrity of the tubes and send them to the WADA laboratory.

One of the samples is frozen in case there are illegal substances in another container, the website of the organization. Despite all the "care" for athletes, some decisions of the IOC and the Anti-Doping Agency cause a lot of questions and disputes. Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev believes that WADA undermines the Olympic movement, accusing "pure" athletes. In his opinion, the agency deals with politics, not with sports. However, it is not easier for Russian athletes to get out of the trouble on international organizations.
