Julia and Vitaly Stepanov receive from the International Olympic Committee monthly $ 7,5 thousand. for two. This became known from the new documents of the hacker group Fancy Bears, who were at the disposal of RT. while Julia Stepanova receives $ 2500 a month, and her husband - 2 times more. Vitaly Stepanov advises IOC on doping control and protection of athletes. Hackers broke the spouses' correspondence with IOC General Director Christoph de Kepper, in which they discuss their future future. In one of the letters, Vitaly Stepanov complains about the current program for the protection of whistleblowers WADA. The Stepanovs also reminded that IOC President Thomas Bach had earlier promised to support them: to help resume the sporting career of Yulia and find a job for Vitaly. They underscored that they are not ready to be just informers, since they need to further build their careers. Apparently, the negotiations of the spouses with the Olympic Committee were crowned with success. Vitaly also asked the IOC to help him get a job at an American university.

In addition to the enchanting correspondence of the Stepanovs' spouses with the IOC, Fancy Bears provided RT with a number of other documents on the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. From the letters of the IOC employees it became known that the Berlinger bottles often break, so they can not be replaced, that the members of the Australian team used adrenaline during the competition - in particular, the bronze medalist of the Triathlon Olympics was not disqualified for this. In addition, recipes for the therapeutic reception of banned drugs of several athletes have disappeared and have not been included in the ADAMS system.
