As it is said on the page of the Ukrainian radio on Facebook, during his half-century period of work Sharpansky performed fruitful work on covering the results of the Olympic, Paralympic and Deaflympic games, world championships, European and World Universiades in the mass media.
He had the opportunity to communicate with more than thirty Olympic champions, report from the nine Olympiads (Moscow-80, Lillehammer-94, Atlanta-96, Nagano-98, Sydney-2000, Salt Lake City-2002, Athens-2004 Beijing- 2008), dozens of world championships and Europe.
At the same time he was the first of Ukrainian journalists to go on air and found out the impression of the people of Kiev back in 1961, when the first man flew into space.
For high labor achievements in 2008 Yefim Sharpansky was awarded with the Certificate of Honor of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. He was awarded the title "Honored Journalist of Ukraine.
Recall, as reported URA-Inform, February 19 in Kiev, died a famous Ukrainian film director, producer and clipmaker Maxim Papernik. He died of cancer at the age of 48 years. The death of Paperny was told by his relatives.
