The poll was conducted among the members of the Council of the Federation of Athletics of Ukraine, representatives of the media and fans.

As it is already known, the best athlete is Yulia Levchenko, who this year won silver at the World Championships, bronze at the European Indoor Championships, gold at the European Youth Championship. In addition, she took second place in the final of the Diamond League, set Ukraine's youth record for high jump, and also screamed in the nomination "Rising star" of European track and field athletics.

The best athlete is named Sergey Smelik, who won the team championship in Europe in the 200 m race.

At the same time in the category of "young athletes under the age of 20" won Gleb Piskunov and Alina Shukh. At the same time the best coach of 2017 was recognized as Igor Lonsky.

But the best athletes, veterans of the country recognized Valentin Krepkin and Ivan Pushkin.
