The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has sent to the international sports federations the names of 300 active Russian athletes who are suspected of using illegal drugs.

This information WADA received from the database of the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory.

It is assumed that positive samples of 300 elite sportsmen of winter and summer sports, handed over in the period from 2012 to 2015, were designated as negative.

Some suspected athletes can perform in Pyeongchang-2018 under a neutral flag.

The cases of athletes from the list will be considered by international federations.

________________________ Recall, on December 5, the IOC disqualified the Russian national team from the Olympics because of the doping scandal. Take part in it will be able to only "clean" athletes under the Olympic flag.

For the use of doping by athletes, the IOC has already seized 11 Sochi-2014 medals from Russia. Russia lost the first place in the Olympics in Sochi on the number of medals.

In 2016, a doping scandal broke out after the reports of McLaren, who led the WADA investigation.

They said that Russian athletes were involved in the manipulation of doping tests at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. In addition, Mutko was accused of doping fraud, and the replacement of doping tests with "clean" was involved senior officials of Russia.
