Robot HUBO, which was created by engineers from the Korean Institute of Advanced Technology, took part in the Olympic torch relay in the South Korean city of Daejeon.
HUBO received fire and drove with him about a hundred meters to the cardboard wall. Then, using a small saw, he cut a hole through it, through which he gave fire to his creator, Professor O Chun-Ho.
And the scientist handed the torch to another work of KAIST - a human-driven model FX-2.
Interestingly, in addition to participating in the Olympic torch relay, the HUBO works will be included in the number of volunteers at the Olympics. They will meet the guests of the competitions at the airport and support the participants in the stadiums. Also, the robots can get help information in English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese.
Recall Games in Pyeongchang will be held from 9 to 25 February 2018.
