The head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach said that the organization will pay for the participation of "clean" Russian Olympians in the Games-2018 in Pyeongchang.

"If the IOC invites athletes, then we cover their travel expenses. From our decision it is clear that these athletes will not be different from others participating in competitions.

They will be placed free of charge, eat free of charge, will be paid for the costs of part of the staff, "Bach said at a press conference.

Recall, on December 5, the IOC disqualified the Russian national team from the Olympics due to the doping scandal. Take part in it will be able to only "clean" athletes under the Olympic flag.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the authorities will not forbid athletes to go to the Games, which will be held from 9 to 25 February.

Recall, for the use of athletes doping IOC has already seized from Russia 11 medals of Sochi-2014. Russia lost the first place in the Olympics in Sochi on the number of medals.

In 2016, a doping scandal broke out after the reports of McLaren, who led the WADA investigation.

They said that Russian athletes were involved in the manipulation of doping tests at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. In addition, Mutko was accused of doping fraud, and the replacement of doping tests with "clean" was involved senior officials of Russia.
