IOC for life disqualified the famous Russian biathlonist

The International Olympic Committee for life suspended the famous Russian biathlete Olga Zaitseva on the basis of testing samples from the 2014 Olympics in Sochi.

Results biathlon in Sochi, as well as skiers Julia Chekalevo and Anastasia Dotsenko canceled, and athletes for life suspended from participating in the Olympics.

This was reported by the press service of the IOC.

It should be noted that Zaitseva in Sochi together with Olga Vilukhina, Ekaterina Shumilova and Yana Romanova won silver in the relay race.



In January 2015, Zaytseva announced the end of her career. She is a two-time Olympic champion, on her account "gold" of Turin-2006 and Vancouver-2010 in relay races, in addition, the athlete won three gold medals of the world championships - two "silver" and three "bronzes".

In general, 22 Russian sportsmen were excluded from the Olympics, and the Russian team lost 11 medals and moved to the third place in the unofficial team event of the Games-2014.
