The International Olympic Committee decided to take away from the Russian team three more medals, which they won at the OI-2014, held in Sochi.
This time, the punishment did not manage to bypass the bobsledder.
After a more detailed check of the results of the doping tests, the IOC decided to deprive Russia of three bronze medals and life-long suspension of three Russian athletes - Alexander Kasyanov, Alexei Pushkarev and Ilvir Khuzin.
Thus, the bronze awards in the fours and deuces now belong to the teams of Great Britain and Latvia respectively. Recall that due to doping, Russia lost first place in the unofficial standings in terms of the number of medals that it won at the OI-2014.
Meanwhile, Russia has already been deprived of 11 medals, among which three are gold medals. Russians still hold third place in the medal standings of the Winter Olympics.
