If a person regularly does housework, decides various economic issues, then this is a definite plus for his health.

According to a study by the University of California, women over 65 who regularly received their dose of physical activity in the form of house cleaning had a reduced risk of death.

Activity like cleaning, working in the garden takes over 55% of the daily activity of the elderly. This scientists found out, having observed for 6000 women 65-99 years old. Women were followed for 4.5 years.

On the level of their activity, scientists were judged by the data of portable motion sensors.

It turned out that 30 minutes of mild physical activity a day reduced the risk of death by 12%. Another additional 30 minutes of moderate physical activity such as cycling and brisk walking reduced the risk by 39%. According to experts, mild and moderate exercise is just as effective as intensive training, in terms of preventing major chronic ailments.
